Formed in 1972 to 'promote awareness and participation in jazz of all styles', the Brisbane Jazz Club has provided opportunities for jazz musicians, audiences and visitors.

The Club's great location on the banks of the Brisbane River, overlooking the beautiful Brisbane city lights, provides an ideal setting for members and their visitors to hear the best of local, interstate, and international jazz artists at their regular sessions.

The Brisbane Jazz Club's energetic committee is in constant touch with what's happening in Australian jazz and whenever an artiste or band is ‘coming through on tour’ they're sure to be asked to play at the BJC

Directions: The Brisbane Jazz Club is on the opposite side of the Brisbane River to the Riverside Centre, Customs House. It is between James Warner Park and Captain Burke Park which extends either side of the Story Bridge (see map). To get there: By Car - Heading towards the city from Main St, take the Kangaroo Point exit just before the Story Bridge. Follow Main St almost to the river, take the last street left (Wicklow St), first right and you are there. The Club has its own car park. Coming from the city, go over the Story Bridge, take the Kangaroo Point exit, head back towards the city under the Story Bridge (past the Story Bridge hotel), get into Main St and follow the instructions as above. By Ferry - Catch the Holman St Ferry from the Riverside wharf (Route 6). Ferry operates four times an hour everyday until midnight.
