Learn how to sing and speak the rhythmic vocal language of South Indian vocal percussion known as ‘konnakol’.
This session will have you clapping the cycles and singing the rhythms, learning the basic sounds and structures. The class will be taught aurally (no music), and sheets with the rhythms written phonetically will be given. A great introduction to this wonderful tradition, to develop your sense of rhythmic adventure with your voice. Great for both singers and instrumentalists!
