Grand Wazoo's 35 Year Anniversary Concerts. at Bird's Basement Jazz Club

Formed in 1981 by Jazz musician John Montesante, the now legendary soul band Grand WaZoo brings together a dynamic, authentic and engaging soul music experience.

Wanting to increase performance opportunities for under-employed jazz musicians, Montesante created a Black Soul and R+B repertoire accompanied by his own arrangements. Over 35 years later and Grand WaZoo has evolved into a highly lauded soul extravaganza and concert band with a 300+ tune repertoire and original music.
